This white bread is nothing but putty!!!
After studying the influence of social class on individuals in society over the past couple of weeks, you should be able to reflect on how you have been constructed to view people in terms of their social class. What impact does a person's social class have on them in their daily life: opportunities, health, prestige, education, etc. How do people's attitudes and behaviors change based on the social class in which they feel they are apart of. Is it easy for people to move up and or down in terms of their social class status in society? By referencing certain class activities, discussions, and readings, and using a sociological imagination, you should discuss how social class plays a role in your own life and in society at large. Do the rich get richer and the poor get poorer? Are people treated differently based on the social class they are in? Does everybody expect a "rags to riches" story and therefore fault people for the classes that they have "fallen" into. Be sure to discuss these topics in terms of the big picture and society and then reflect on how social class has and will continue to affect you.

Social class has become a dominant factor in determining how successful an individual can be. Sure, we all hear occassional heart warming rag to riches stories from time to time. But usually the grass isn't all that green on the other side. People are effected by their social class everyday they walk out their front door. Some people walk out to a Hummer, others to a 1983 jeep. Some people walk out of a manchine, others out of a 1 room apartment. In that case, you probably walk out with a lot, or not so much money in your pockets. Unfortunetly, as we all know, money does make the world go round. Some people play the cards they were delt, others make the dealer reshuffle. But for those playing their hands still, struggling has become more common then ever. People now a days are judged upon wether or not they have endured that struggle. Minus the fact nobody sees the struggle, but they'll notice the clothes your struggling in. Overall, only we can control our own futures, some people are just more capable with the opprutunities given.
